Brentwood looks easy to shoot until you actually shoot it. The lots are bigger than most LA neighborhoods, the homes sit further back from the street, and decades of mature oak and sycamore canopy filter the light in ways that flatter the property in person but fight the camera all day.
We've shot Brentwood across Bundy, Barrington, Bristol, Burlingame, Carmelina, and Saltair. Below Sunset, where the traditional Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean estates dominate. Above Sunset and into the canyons, where the architecture skews modernist and contemporary. And the newer construction tear-downs across all of Brentwood where 1940s ranch homes have been rebuilt as 7,000-square-foot contemporaries on the same lot footprint.
Each generation of Brentwood architecture needs its own treatment.

What Brentwood real estate demands of a photographer
Several things separate a Brentwood listing from a generic Westside shoot.
The mature tree canopy is the first challenge. Most Brentwood lots have established oak, sycamore, and jacaranda that filter sunlight into a patchwork of bright spots and deep shadow across the facade. A photographer who shoots Brentwood at noon gets blown-out roofs and shadowed entries. We schedule Brentwood shoots for morning or late afternoon when the light is softer and the canopy works for the photo rather than against it.
The lot scale changes the framing. Brentwood properties typically sit on lots that are deeper than they are wide, with the home set back 30 to 60 feet from the street behind landscaping or a circular drive. A standard wide-angle exterior from the curb just shows hedges. We use drone and longer focal lengths to compress the depth and show the home in proper relationship to its setting.
The architectural mix demands range. A Brentwood photographer might shoot a 1932 Spanish Colonial near San Vicente in the morning, a 2023 contemporary spec build on Bundy in the afternoon, and a mid-century ranch on Saltair the next day. The lighting setup, the editing style, and the cropping convention shift between them. We bring the right gear and the right plan for what's actually on the lot, not a one-size-fits-all "real estate look."
Privacy hedges are the fourth challenge. Older properties in lower Brentwood often have hedges that completely block ground-level facades. Drone is essential to capture the home in its full context. We plan the aerial sequence on every Brentwood shoot, whether the agent specifically requests it or not.

Testimonials
We hired Blazer Visuals to take professional photos and virtually stage a condo in California. The photos turned out great and the virtual staging looks awesome. Blazer Visuals is very responsive and professional. Highly recommend. – Jeff Jefferies
I hired them to photograph a condo for sale in California. The day of the photo shoot was the day that the skies were dark due to smoke from the wildfires. They were flexible so we were able to reschedule at the last minute. When they did the photo shoot the photographer wore a mask and took great pictures. The pictures were ready the next day. I would definitely use them again.- Mark Karwowski
When my wife and I had a hard time selling our house, we decided to hire a professional photographer. That’s when we found Blazer Visuals. He was quick on getting back to us. The price was reasonable. He was very flexible on scheduling us for an appointment and was able to send us the photos within 24 hrs. They came out amazing and helped us sell our house quickly. I highly recommend Blazer Visuals. - Juan A.
